GÖBEKLİ TEPE TOUR
After the conference, there will be a one-day tour to Göbekili Tepe (April 27).
Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the constraction at Göbekli Tepe dates back almost 12,000 years, placing it in a time period that is generally considered to be pre-civilization. It was built right around the same time that the last ice age ended. Göbekli Tepe then went on to be an active civilization for nearly three millennia before being abandoned under mysterious circumstances around 9,000 years ago.
The tour will start at 8:00 am. and is expected to finish at 6:00 pm. (Göbeklitepe-Gaziantep: 175 km., around 2 hours and 30 min.)
After visiting Göbeklitepe, we will stop by Balıklıgöl in the center of Şanlıurfa. We will have a (late) lunch on the edge of Euphrates (at Kıyı Restaurant). After the lunch, we will go back to Gaziantep.
Price: 235 TL per person.
The price includes: Transportation (bus), tour guide, insurance, and the lunch
The price does not include: non/alcoholic drinks at lunch and the museum entrance fee
The payments will be made to Kantara Turizm bank account below. When paying, please write: IDEA+Gobeklitepe.
